Every organisation and situation is unique in some way. Ignoring this simple fact runs the risk of missing a detail that is crucial to success. If you want a quick result achieved without wasting time, that means you need an approach tailored to you, your organisation and your situation.
The first part of tailoring is listening, then understanding. My clients find that one of my strengths is the ability to really get to the bottom of what they are after and then build on it with my own experience. It is this process of listening, understanding and extending that is at the core of a successful piece of work. I am proud of my work and confident, but always humble enough to hear and respect my clients' views.
Today's budgets are more tightly controlled than ever, and every penny counts. Very few organisations can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars performing the strategy, service competitiveness, opportunity analysis and programme services from top tier providers; except perhaps for the largest and best funded endeavours.
Typically executives and managers have made do by using inexperienced people whether from inside or (worse) outside the organisation to fill the gap, or simply haven't been able to do this important work at all, with the result that strategies, service propositions and opportunities are not thought through and not as effective as they could or should be.
I do this work. I provide a depth of experience and a senior, value oriented perspective which you need to have confidence in the outcome. Because of the structure of my business, however, I can provide the quality result you need for a lower fee, and generally more quickly, too.
Typically this makes sense for work that's needed over 2-6 weeks, is a discrete assignment requiring some judgement and creativity as well as rigour, and where a client is looking to pay in the tens of thousands of dollars rather than the hundreds of thousands and above.
